My feel-good song

Trees, water, squirrels and swans.

Fast Facts:
There were 2298 escalator and stair-related injuries on the tubes last year due to rushing.
There were 111 gap-related injuries last year on the tubes....so make sure to mind the gap!!
"In 1963 Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield met in a school gym class in Long Island, New York. Discovering they both hated the gym but loved food, they opened their first scoop shop in 1978 in Vermont USA. They mixed generous helpings of high quality chunks into rich dairy ice cream from family-run farms, and the rest is ice cream history..."

"Trees, water, squirrels and swans" - that was what my dad requested to see while we ate our lunch today...so we went to Regents Park. We have been doing a vast amount of animal feeding over the last few days...or rather vermin feeding since most of the time we were feeding pesky pigeons. We went to Regents Park and St James Park where we took time to snooze and eat some lunch. A man in St James Park, who I would like to think was a, what my mom calls earthly angels, was quietly feeding pigeons with seed. He would hold the seed in his hands and pigeons would swarm around and perch on him. He allowed us to all take some seed and some dirty, fat pigeons ate from our hands, but it was really sweet. Sort of reminded me of Mary Poppins..."feed the birds, tuppins a bag". Before this we walked through the amazing and super scary London Dungeons. The attraction began with a train ride through a completely dark tunnel where things poked out at us and cries and shrieks of torture filled our ears. Us three girls were so petrified that we were clinging on to my mom, but because all of us wanted to be in the middle (the safest place to stand in a haunted house), we were pushing and shoving her all over the place. By the end of it she was sweating from all of our bodies squished against her. But it was an hilarious and really interesting experience. I am so glad we got to do it. We heard the true stories about Sweeney Todd and Jack the Ripper....quite creepy to think that these people existed.

So after that we went to the parks and tonight we watched the really lovely Keira Knightley movie, Begin Again. We were shocked at how great this was because films have been absolutely terrible and crude lately, but we were more shocked at how much our movie tickets cost. This may have been the reason why my dad freaked out when we bought ourselves Ben and Jerry's ice cream and just a bit of Starbucks...but come on, we have to try these things...

My favourite part of today had to have been feeding the squirrels in St James park. I absolutely love squirrels and I have always wanted to own one, but obviously that would be cruel so feeding one today is as close as I will get to this dream. These parks were so calming and serene. I always thank God for his crazy attention to detail when I am sitting in such a lush and green environment like this!
