Second sea day

Fast facts:
The most expensive wine on the menu on the cruise costs $2260 (R24860).
4th of July today.
Over 7.5 million members of the crown and anchor society (a loyalty club).
There are different levels. Pinnacle is the highest and Pinnacle members require more than 700 points (1 point is equal to 1 night).
Top cruisers on our boat have spent 560 nights on a cruise, obviously not consecutively.
There are chefs that specialise in just meats, fish, and desserts.

Today was our second sea day. We were graced with a beautiful sunny day so we spent most of it by the pool. However, before that Jules and I were lucky to come across a Spa seminar where we both received free facials. Some might find sea days fairly boring, but the amount of beauty there is in the middle of the ocean is tremendous. Okay, it's practically just a long flat pool of blue, but it is something that is only shown to you if you are lucky.

My biggest worry is that one day I will fall out of communication with God. Somehow, I will just become blind to Him and believe that He is no longer there...that is my biggest fear. But God says that this can be avoided by seeking Him every day. This may sound easy, but it can become tiresome if our hearts are removed from the process. I find it absolutely impossible to not experience God while seeing something miraculous in nature. Something like what is felt while gliding through the ocean and wherever you look is just blue and sunlight, no green in sight.

The day ended with something really special. My favourite musical of all time is Les Miserables and we were lucky enough to have the man who played Jean Valjean on London Broadway perform for us tonight. He was absolutely amazing!!! But something that showed me today that God is happy with us and that He wants to bless us was a moment of confirmation. If you look back at one of my past posts, I chose to do a cover of the song "With or without you" by U2 dedicating it to my dad when he became sick, not for its song meaning, but because it is one of his favourite songs. Today while my dad and I were walking along the corridor, just the two of us, the band below us started playing its last song...with or without you. We watched them together and I listened to my dad singing. My God, how you love us!
